Before & After School Program
We offer both before and after school care for children ages 5 to 12 years old. During the school year, we offer before & after-school care to several of the Alief elementary schools.
Program Activities
In the afternoon, the children eat snacks immediately upon arrival and then go to a teacher-supervised homework room. From there, the children are broken into groups by age range and will participate in a variety of activities including sports, arts & crafts, cooking projects, games, gardening, and free time to just hang out with their friends. During the winter break, spring break and summer time these activities are expanded to include onsite and offsite field trips. We also offer fun, educational summer camp programs.

Playground and Sports
The school-age classrooms have their own large, shaded playground that includes swings and a basketball hoop. There is also a large open field for football and soccer. Additionally, the elementary-age children use the gym on rainy and hot days to take advantage of additional play and learning experiences including soccer, dodgeball, and jump rope. During the summer and holiday weeks, the children often engage in team activities like relays, soccer, basketball, or sack races. The children are also given limited time on iPads for individual free play.
Vegetable Garden
The elementary-age children also participate fully in the planting of the vegetable garden and their teachers take them through the garden on a regular basis to look at the growth and participate in the harvesting of vegetables. The children will often take home vegetables that they helped harvest.
